Azuki

KYOU OfF to a flying start!. Nami had a report due today and was up until 4 trying to finish it. She was so tired at 3.30 i suggested she went to sleep for a few hours and then wake up and finish it. She took my advice and we woke up at 6. You know, who needs sleep anyway?!... so while she finished doing her report i made breakfast. Yup the years at Diamond taught me many practical things and today i made use of my toastie skills. I put together a Ham, Egg and cheese toastie for Nami. I was going to make one for myself but it was a bit too much to eat first thing in the morning ya know... yo note: the key to making a memorable toastie that involves an egg is..... to know how the consumer likes their egg. I would say a good 75-80% of people like a dry egg (although not completely dry) and that statistic increases when applied to an asian market. =) this statistic is generally reversed when the egg is accompanied by bacon. BUT asians still prefer their eggs dry under any circumstances. =P
Well, Nami ended up finishing her report early so we headed to the trainstation and got starbucks. Nothing like caffine to rock ya morning! I had AZUKI frapachino (kinda red bean mix) and Nami had Ice coffee.. THe AZUKI was wicked, it was like complan (vanillia) with a few extra gritty bits. look look.....

Azuki on the left. Nami no Te in the background. =) we took some photos of ourselves posing too but we look so sleepy. (We should have taken the photos after we had the caffine) =P
Nami went to work and I took some more photos of our hood. Lets look. =)
Given that Asagaya is just a small area its got a lot of unique things. For example the pictuer on the left shows a doorway rite?. That little hole leads into a resturant. I love their style of advertising, there are no signs, no name etc just the hole in the wall. And if ya look at the bike in comparisim to the doorway you can come to the understanding that the hole is pretty darn small. =) unfortunatly we would never go there, as it looks like you have to know the owner to dine there. Oh well. plenty of other places to go eat. =)

NOthing that speical, i just like the way they had stuck the coloured girl over the black and while picture. This is Tokyo`s version of Vandalism. Much more socially accepted as "street art" as opposed to "graffiti". Although there is the odd tags around, you really have to go to the graffiti spots in order to see the big "pieces". I have yet to find out whether its legal to paint in those spots. If so, i`d like to pick up a can again. Its been awhile. =P

Hmmm, i have alot of other photos, mainly of vending machines and streets etc. I`ll post them in a later entry. For now, i`m going to get my B into G`s and power skip to the train station. Peace...

p.s: Finally caught up to date with the entries. I`m set to have an awesome next few days as Nami has fri, sun and mon off and Sat i`m meeting my little brother "Big" shuji!! aiite, ROck on!.

pp.s: We`re having japanese tonite, hopefully. We`ll also be having an early nite, as we`ve got a date with TOtoro tomorrow morning. WOOT WOOT!~
