Rockin Shibuya

Its been exactly one month since I arrived in Tokyo and I finally went to Shibuya today. This city rocks. THeres heaps of people and is the home of Hachiko (dog who use to come to the train station everyday to meet its owner and send him off). I met Nami infront of the green train by the Hachiko statue and proceeded to the front of starbucks where we met the birthday boy Hiroki and friend Hiroko. We havent met for a long time, but we use to hang out at sixth sense together a few years back. After the usual "ohisashiburi" and "otanjoubi ometeto" we proceeded to Fridays.

Now thats two fridays in a row that I`ve been to "Fridays". This one was much better than the last. As we muched our way through salad, spagetti, fried squid and ice cream. Of course accompanied by a few beers, long islands etc. It was great to see familiar faces and its amazing how fast time flies and how much peoples lives change. We first met them as students, now one is a manager of a company and another is a flight attendant. WICKEEEED!!

This is Hiroki (left) and Hiroko sharing the birthday Ice cream, it was massive and there were four spoons, so we couldnt Not help them finish it!. =) We had general catch up conversations and threw around the idea of driving down to Mt fuji to ride its roller coasters and stuff.. ITs going to take some planning with everyone having different days off, but I`m sure we`ll work it out..

THen Me and Nami finally got a photo together (that wasnt a sticker). Hehe its been a while. All n all I had a blast, I felt completely relaxed and although it wasnt as rockin as the Young gun days it was up there. Hiroki is a very hard worker, jokes around and is developing into a "salary man" hehe. HIroko is sweet, fun and honest. Can always feel relaxed in her company.

We got kicked out of Fridays at 12 (the tables are reserved for a maximum of two hours) but it was cool seeing as it was getting close to the time our last train was set to leave. None the less we rushed down took a sticker photo and ran to the trainsataion. ONly to get stuck up againist the wall completely un-movable surrounded by the smell of alcohol and drunken japanese talk. Fun fun times. Although Nami didnt quite enjoy the experience as much as i did (somebody kept steping on her new shoes). Well that it. Daytime was spent doing the usual. I planned my route to Shibuya by myself and made it there in perfect time. I even managed to return a dvd along the way. Im really getting the swing of this.. hehe.. Aiitey matey potatey Jya na for now.. PEACE
